Hollywood in mourning for the death of Jane Powell, star of numerous masterpieces of the musical genre. She was 92 years old and - explained Susan Granger, film critic and her great friend - “she died of natural causes on September 16th, at her home in Wilton, Connecticut”.

Jane Powell has been the protagonist of films considered a cornerstone of the musical genre, such as "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers", "This is the way women are" and "His Highness is getting married", alongside Fred Astaire.

Soprano voice, "girl next door" appearance, Powell has also trod the theatrical stages in numerous successful productions, such as "South Pacific", "The Sound of Music", "Oklahoma!", "My Fair Lady ”,“ Carousel ”and“ I Do! I Do! ".

And there was no shortage of his appearances on the small screen, in well-known TV series in the seventies and eighties, such as "Love Boat" and "Fantasilandia".
