Rino Tommasi, one of the best and most popular sports narrators in our country, particularly boxing and tennis, has died .
Journalist, TV host, commentator, organizer of boxing events and profound tennis expert, Rino Tommasi died in Verona, the city where he was born 90 years ago .
With Gianni Clerici , since the 1980s, he has formed the most famous pair of commentators in international tennis . Unfortunately, in lean times for Italian tennis, who knows how he would have commented on the exploits of Sinner, Berrettini and Davis today.
Tommasi was awarded by the ATP as journalist of the year on two occasions, in 1982 and 1991. His other great passion was boxing, of which he was also an organizer of events .
"He was an undisputed protagonist of our world . We are close to the family in this moment of great pain and sadness for the Italian sports movement", declared the president of Coni, Giovanni Malagò .
