Cagliari coach Fabio Pisacane is the winner of the "Briglia d'oro 2026" , an award given annually by the Siena branch of the Italian Football Coaches Association to the coach who has distinguished himself during the season not only for his sporting results, but also for his ability to manage and lead the team.

"With passion, skill, and great dedication, he led Cagliari to an extraordinary survival in Serie A. In addition to his already well-known excellent technical skills, he always demonstrated an undeniably valuable human side, facing every difficult challenge that life threw his way with his head held high," the motivation reads.

The award, now in its 33rd year, will be presented to the Rossoblu coach on June 12th in Siena.

Among the coaches who, over the years, have entered the Roll of Honor: Nicola, Baroni, Calzona, Sacchi, Tudor, Dionisi, Semplici, Ballardini, Ranieri, Di Francesco, Pioli, Zeman, Montella, Allegri, Rossi, Ventura, Gasperini, Cuccureddu, Beretta, Ulivieri, Spalletti and Papadopulo.
