Cagliari coach Fabio Pisacane is the winner of the "Briglia d'oro 2026", an award given annually by the Siena branch of the Italian Football Coaches Association to the coach who has distinguished himself during the season not only through sporting achievements but also through his ability to manage and lead the team.

"With passion, skill, and great dedication, he led Cagliari to an extraordinary relegation to Serie A. In addition to his renowned technical ability, he always demonstrated an undeniably valuable human side, facing every difficult challenge life threw his way with determination," the statement reads.

The award, now in its 33rd year, will be presented to the Rossoblu coach on June 12th in Siena.

Among the coaches who, over the years, have entered the Roll of Honor: Nicola, Baroni, Calzona, Sacchi, Tudor, Dionisi, Semplici, Ballardini, Ranieri, Di Francesco, Pioli, Zeman, Montella, Allegri, Rossi, Ventura, Gasperini, Cuccureddu, Beretta, Ulivieri, Spalletti and Papadopulo.
