The shareholders' meetings of Sogeaal and Geasar gave the definitive green light to the merger project of the airports of Alghero and Olbia, despite the regional vote against . F2i is therefore going straight, despite the remarks made by ENAC and the appeal by Christian Solinas to Minister Salvini .

Transport councilor Antonio Moro reiterated the position of the Region, which holds 23.06% of the company's shares and asked the majority shareholder, F2i Ligantia, to suspend the deliberation and adjourn the meeting in 60 days to allow for an evaluation detailed documentation to protect the public interest.

Request rejected, but which found partial acceptance in the choice of the majority shareholder, "as a sign of full collaboration", he explains in a note from F2i, to extend the minimum term of 60 days prescribed by law to 120 days, before giving merger course .

Four months during which, reads the F2i press release, «the reference shareholders will be able to continue the discussions, in order to favor a constructive comparison that allows the evaluation of tools and solutions capable of leading to an integration process that is more widely shared and of mutual satisfaction ".

Quota issue: 20.56% will be held by the public shareholders together, and this is sufficient to "clarify the position" also with respect to ENAC . After the merger, F2i will approve a statutory amendment to allow each of the public shareholders with at least 2.5% to request the convening of the meeting.

Moro intervened in the meeting also recalling that Enac, on 15 May last, "informed the incorporating company Geasar and incorporated Sogeaal that it believes that at present the merger project into a single airport management company cannot be authorised , because in conflict with the regulatory principles of reference and made the authorization of the merger project subject to the identification of a suitable solution to guarantee the exercise of corporate prerogatives to the Region".

«The refusal of ENAC – the representative of Giunta Solinas also recalled – could determine the nullity of the merger resolutions , to which the Region expresses an unfavorable opinion» as «it does not share the technical-administrative path to reach the definition of the structure of the new company.

The new company, continued Moro, «does not take into account the financial contributions that the Region has ensured from time to time to the airport companies. The shareholding of the Region and its role within the structure of the new company would not be at all representative of the concrete and effective contribution that the Region of Sardinia ensures to all airport companies by significantly financing infrastructure investments and signing multi-year contracts of advertising and provision of services through which the Region supports the income statement of the management companies, ensuring them that share of the so-called 'non-aviation' revenues without which it would not be possible to sign agreements with major airlines".

However, all the criticisms raised did not help to make F2i take a step back, which refused to update the resolution and gave the project the definitive go-ahead .
