Petrol stations in Sardinia come to the attention of the Antitrust, the Guarantor for price surveillance (Mr Prices) and the Finance Police.

Adiconsum Sardegna, following numerous reports from consumers, in fact presented a complaint to the three bodies asking them to investigate the behavior of the managers of Sardinian pumps.

The inland areas of Sardinia are the areas with the highest prices. "On 24 and 25 March, the undersigned association received numerous reports about the prices applied by fuel distributors located in the regional territory - reads the complaint from Adiconsum Sardegna - In particular, consumers report the application of excessively onerous costs and do not correspond to what is established by current legislation ".

"As is known on March 22, the cut in excise duties on petrol and diesel for 25 euro cents per liter entered into force - explains the president of the association, Giorgio Vargiu - Despite the cut in taxation ordered by the Government, on the 24th and the March 25, many distributors continued to sell fuels at full price in Sardinia, without applying the reduction in excise duties, with immense damage to consumers ".

According to the association, then, "from a check on the Mise site carried out on March 30, 2022, it was found that some fuel distributors located in the territory of the Sardinia Region are not sending regular communications on the prices actually applied at the distribution plants. ".
