With the start of the summer season, the high prices for airline tickets to and from the island are back. The complaint comes this time from Adiconsum Sardegna , which has carried out a study to understand how much it costs to reach the main tourist resorts of Sardinia by plane starting from the Italian airports.
To reach Olbia by plane from Naples you need at least 524 euros for a round trip, but ticket prices can even exceed 800 euros per passenger depending on the city of departure, the time of day and the company chosen.
According to the data collected by Adiconsum, assuming to embark on August 12 and return with a flight on August 19, the most expensive route is the Naples-Olbia. In this case, ticket prices start from a minimum of 524 euros per passenger and reach a maximum of 801 euros. It follows the Bolzano-Cagliari route, for which you need at least 344 euros for a round trip, while to reach Olbia from Venice (and return) you need to take into account a minimum cost of 330 euros, 328 euros if you leave from Turin.
Depending on the chosen times, the company used and the departure airport, a plane ticket for the same dates can cost 835 euros on the Milan-Olbia route, 819 euros on the Rome-Olbia route.
« Rates at these levels keep tourists away from our island and make Sardinia more and more an oasis for those lucky few who can afford to spend high sums on a plane ticket - attacks the president Giorgio Vargiu - A damage on the tourism and local economy , and the recent intervention by Mr. only travellers, but also local operators».
