European night of museums, admission to 1 euro in the structures of Sardinia
Seven sites have been opened by the Regional Museums of the Island
Saturday 14 May the "European Night of Museums" returns. The initiative, which takes place simultaneously throughout Europe, provides for the extraordinary evening opening of three hours longer than the normal visiting hours and entry to the main museums, monumental complexes, parks and state archaeological sites at the symbolic cost of 1 euro .
The Sardinian Museums Regional Directorate will welcome visitors and tourists to the Garibaldi Museums in Caprera, the Sanna Museum and the National Art Gallery of Sassari, the Giorgio Asproni Archaeological Museum in Nuoro, the Turritano Antiquarium in Porto Torres and the Archaeological Area of Turris Libisonis, with a diversified proposal rich in contents.
For the occasion, the National Picture Gallery of Sassari , at 6 pm, organizes a musical review entitled: "Il Filo Rosso". The initiative includes a concert "Canciones Populares Españolas", with the performance of Denise Gueye (voice) and Marco Carta (guitar). In the same evening, visitors will be able to continue their cultural itinerary in the city center where they can visit the Sanna Museum , in a different time slot, from 8 pm to 11 pm, the exhibition "On the traces of Clemente" . a short video, you will be able to learn about all the phases of design and preparation of the exhibition, which saw the stylist Antonio Marras as the protagonist, with the curiosities and the backstage of an exhibition that has gone beyond national borders.
TIMETABLES - For the Night of the Museums, the places of culture will open their doors to visitors and tourists in a completely extraordinary way, with different timetables . In particular: Garibaldi Compendium, from 7.30pm to 10.30pm, last admission 9.45pm. Giuseppe Garibaldi Memorial , from 7.30pm to 10.30pm, last admission 9.15pm. The Giorgio Asproni National Archaeological Museum of Nuoro will welcome visitors from 20 to 23. The Antiquarium Turritano in Porto Torres and the Archaeological Area of Turris Libisonis will remain open, all day, from 9 to 19. The Basilica of San Saturnino , in Cagliari , will open from 16 to 19.
