Countdown towards the European elections on 8 and 9 June. In the Islands constituency, 80 candidates are running, but there is a clear disproportion between the names proposed from Sicily and those who instead come from Sardinia.

In fact, there are only 17 Sardinian candidates, ten women and seven men, compared to the 63 Sicilian MEP aspirants.

Sardinia's election of candidates is therefore complicated - but not impossible - as it pays for its demographic disadvantage from the start.
