The first leg of the Europa League round of 16 match between Sporting and Atalanta ends 1-1. Both goals in the first half.
The Portuguese took the lead in the 18th minute with a perfect counterattack completed by Paulinho, a surgical left-footed shot from a tight angle that went into the bottom corner.
Atalanta's reaction was immediate, hitting two posts within a minute with Holm and Scamacca. And in the 40th minute he finds the deserved equalizer with Scamacca, who receives at the limit, frees himself and scores with his left foot.
