Fiorentina instead drew 2-2 at Genk in the opening match of Group F of the Conference League.

The Giallorossi found success thanks to an own goal from Gabu Kiki and a goal from Romelu Lukaku, who sealed the victory after Tovar's equaliser.

Luca Ranieri scored a brace for Viola, while Zeqiri and McKenzie scored for Genk.
