A creative and sustainable alternative to traditional shopping arrives in Cagliari: on Saturday 5 April, the IED (Istituto Europeo di Design) headquarters will host the first Swap Party organized in collaboration with the Recloset Lovers association. An event that combines fashion, ethics and respect for the environment, transforming the simple act of renewing your wardrobe into an experience of sharing and awareness.

The swap party, or “exchange party”, is based on a simple concept: no money, just clothes and accessories that find new life in the hands of those who choose them. An idea that promotes recycling and reuse, fighting waste and encouraging more responsible consumption.

The initiative, open to all and free, is coordinated by teachers Alice Tolu and Cristiana Arangino with the support of Debora Deiana, Federica Pilia and Raffaela Ardu of Recloset Lovers.

Participants can bring up to ten items of clothing or accessories, which will be evaluated on the spot by IED students. After the evaluation, the items can be exchanged for others of equal value.

But the afternoon will not only be an opportunity for exchange: it will also be an opportunity to discover Villa Satta, home of IED Cagliari, and its botanical garden, a hidden jewel of the city protected by the Superintendence of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape.

For years, IED Cagliari has been committed to promoting sustainable production and consumption practices in the fashion sector. Through collaborations with companies that reuse textile waste and the design of upcycled collections, the institute promotes a new vision of fashion, more ethical and responsible.

Saturday's event, which will take place between 3 and 8 pm, represents another step in this journey. From 3 to 5 pm, the delivery and evaluation of the garments will take place, while from 4 to 8 pm the Swap Party room will officially open, where the exchanges will come to life.

An unmissable opportunity for those who love fashion, but want to experience it in a more conscious way.
