The town's musical history finds a new home. Today, Friday, August 7, at 7:00 p.m., the "Oreste Pili" Cultural Center will inaugurate "Le Canzoni," a permanent exhibition dedicated to Lorenzo Mereu, co-founder of "I Romantici," the first musical group to originate in Escalaplano.

The collection, donated by Fulvio Caporale , includes works, publications, and musical scores and will enrich the spaces of the Casa della Cultura, opposite the Town Hall. The goal is to preserve and narrate a piece of the town's memory through the people who, with their passion for music, have contributed to its cultural growth.

The evening will also be an opportunity to retrace the history of "The Romantics" and the evolution of music in Escalaplano. This story will continue to this day with the group Aura , a local musical group that has been active for decades, who will present their story and perform some of their songs. There will also be a tribute to the pioneers of local music, in an evening conceived not only as the inauguration of a new exhibition, but also as a moment of remembrance and sharing.

"Music tells a piece of our town's history," emphasized Mayor Marco Lampis, inviting the community to participate. A story made up of people who, with commitment and passion, have left their mark on Escalaplano's cultural life.
