“Equal conditions, institutional communication, gender equality”: this is the title of the training seminar organized by CORECOM Sardinia in collaboration with the Sardinian Press Association. The appointment, on the eve of the entry into force of the rules regulating the electoral period, is on January 9th starting from 4pm in the conference room of the Fondazione di Sardegna (via San Salvatore da Horta 2) in Cagliari.

Participating in the initiative are Carla Bassu and Stefania Cecchini , respectively professors of Comparative Public Law at the University of Sassari and Constitutional Law at the University of Cagliari, Antonietta Polcaro, official of the Media Services Directorate - Public Television, Radio and Multimedia Service Office of the Authority for Communications Guarantees (AGCOM), and Sergio Nuvoli , President of CORECOM Sardinia.

«In the imminence of the regional elections, with our fellow councilors of CORECOM Sardinia – explains Nuvoli – we wanted to organize a training moment aimed mainly at journalists, men and women engaged or intending to engage in politics, officials of public bodies and representatives of the parties, who from January 10th will have to respect the level playing field. The meeting arises from the urgency of remembering parts of the law that are little known and so far little applied: I am referring to the institutional communication of public bodies and respect for gender equality in media representation. CORECOM Sardinia is already ensuring maximum attention and maximum balance in monitoring compliance with the rules of a competition that already promises to be particularly heated in recent weeks."

The journalists present will be recognized with six ethical training credits: registration on the appropriate platform is already possible.
