Climate change but also rights and politics.

These are the issues that most interest Sardinian and Sicilian adolescents between the ages of 14 and 16 . This was revealed by the "GoStudent Future of Education Report 2023", a report created by the world's leading platform for tutoring and training GoStudent.

75% of the young people interviewed want to be the protagonist of a change : they hope for a social context that is more inclined and attentive to the issues of sustainability and inclusiveness .

According to the report, young people have a good knowledge of climate change and it is precisely this level of culture that has allowed them to analyze their actions and direct them towards more informed choices: 75%, after being informed, declare themselves worried about the future of the planet which has been suffering enormously in recent years.

Seven out of ten would like to be able to do something concrete and get down to business : and this is why there is a strong growth in green-themed study programs and innovative startups in Italy whose core business is sustainability in various fields.

The other major theme on which the students have decided to focus is politics and rights. Albeit to a lesser extent. About five of them state that they are constantly informed about the events and activities of the institutions . Percentage that worsens when attention is directed to other countries (47%).

Young people feel less and less represented and considered by politics, which is why they tend to follow it less . 58% of them would like to be more involved and even feel part of a change that can guarantee equality and equal rights for all.

«Students living in Sardinia and Sicily are convinced that they will have the job of their dreams and are increasingly concerned about the future of the planet and the environment. They also want to be better informed about green issues to create a better society: as evidenced by the GoStudent report, 87% want to do a job that can change the world, and we can expect this trend to continue,” he said.
