The world of culture mourns the premature death from an incurable disease of Elisabetta Grassi, 45, married with one child.
Under her direction, the National Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum of Sassari reopened completely after a lengthy renovation. Elisabetta Grassi, however, went further: she brought the historic "GA Sanna" museum into the contemporary age, both with new, streamlined displays accessible to younger generations, and by offering space for artistic and literary events both inside and in the beautiful outdoor garden.
A museum that speaks to everyone, inclusive and open to dialogue, even with contemporary art, as demonstrated by some of its exhibitions. Elisabetta Grassi also had a special focus on children: workshops, games, and treasure hunts, to introduce them to the Sanna's rich collection in a fun way.
