After the performance of the “ Cuncordu Banaresu ” choir, on the stage in Piazza Umberto, the prestigious award was presented by the president of the Pro Loco Francesco di Stefano together with the mayor Francesco Basciu and the creator of the prize, the art master Giuseppe Carta , who donated the work.
Interviewed on stage by journalist Salvatore Taras, Elena Ledda shared anecdotes and curiosities from her long career, beginning with her passion for tradition, her studies at the Cagliari Conservatory, and then her collaborations with great artists, including Andrea Parodi, whom she fondly remembered. Before leaving, Elena Ledda performed a song from her repertoire, sung live, without musical accompaniment, moving the audience, who responded with a resounding applause.
