New job opportunities related to the Einstein Telescope project in Sardinia . The Interuniversity Consortium for the Telematic University of Sardinia (UnitelSardegna) has published a public notice for the selection of six professionals to be employed in outreach and organizational support activities related to the candidacy of the SOS Enattos site to host the large European observatory for the study of gravitational waves.
The initiative is part of the program to promote and enhance the Sardinian candidacy of the Einstein Telescope , coordinated by the Presidency of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia in collaboration with the Universities of Cagliari and Sassari and with important national research institutions, including the National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN), the National Institute for Astrophysics (INAF) and the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV).
The project also includes the opening of two local information desks in Nuoro and Lula, which will serve as a point of contact for citizens, institutions, and local communities. The INFN will oversee the setup of the desks.
Specifically, the call for applications involves the selection of four professionals who will work exclusively in scientific dissemination, community mediation, and support for dialogue with the communities of Nuoro and Lula. The disseminators will work closely with trainers from the Universities of Cagliari and Sassari and with researchers and technicians involved in the Einstein Telescope project, particularly those from Sardinian universities.
Two additional professional figures are also planned to be assigned to the security service and organizational support of the activities that will take place at the two information desks.
Applications must be submitted by 1:00 PM on January 26, 2026. The complete call for applications, including the requirements and application procedures, is available on the official UnitelSardegna website, in the section dedicated to calls for applications, and in the "Einstein Telescope" section of the Region's institutional website.
