Einstein Telescope promoted by the Council at the Fatto Quotidiano party, the Court of Auditors opens a proceeding

An expenditure of 68,235 euros authorised in August   to promote the Einstein Telescope project in September, at the Festa del Fatto Quotidiano, with the candidacy of the Sos Enattos mine: now the Court of Auditors of Sardinia has initiated proceedings and asked the Todde Council to clarify the matter by providing a whole series of documents.

The Attorney General's Office suspects "misuse of public resources." The Fatto festival was held at the Circus Maximus. Upon returning from the August bank holiday, a political dispute over those €68,000 erupted between the opposition in the Council and the Five Star Movement. Among the documents requested by the Audit Office from the Region are "the documents deciding the awarding of the aforementioned promotional service ," as well as "accounting documents certifying the expenses incurred," as well as " preliminary assessments of the possible return of institutional visibility," and "an ex post report ."
