General states , assemblies, sit-ins and the shadow of the general strike . The protest of north-west Sardinia against the economic and social crisis of the territory and against the lack of intervention by the Region and the national government is growing.
The CGIL, CISL and UIL trade unions have organized a series of demonstrations which from next week will inflame the area to once again ask for solutions to problems concerning work, health, infrastructure and transport .
The first date is set for Monday 27 March at 10 , with the convocation in Sassari, at the Municipal Theater, of the States General and at the same time of trade union assemblies throughout the territory .
The protest will then continue with four sit-ins : on April 3 in Alghero on transport, mobility and networks; on April 11 in Porto Torres on industry and energy; on 17 April in Ozieri on social welfare and health issues; on 24 April in Pattada on the subject of strategic works and territorial security.
The general secretaries of the three trade unions call together workers, employers' associations, businesses, students, retirees and local public administrations : «In the absence of concrete responses to the requests, proposals and priorities denounced regarding the situation and hardships in the north-west of the Sardinia, the proclamation of a strike and a general demonstration will be inevitable ».
