At Easter , tourism in Sardinia does not take off . The festive Sunday is in fact expected very early this year, on March 31st, on the last day of the winter season as regards air connections, and therefore very few tourists are expected.

This was confirmed by Fiavet (Federation of travel agencies), with the regional president Gian Mario Pileri specifying that there are many doubts about the possibility "of selling incoming" , i.e. tickets and beds for those arriving in Sardinia.

Paolo Manca, president of Federalberghi Sardegna , is also of the same opinion, according to which the real season will, in fact, begin "with the long weekend of April 25th" .

Good prospects, however, for the summer, with bookings, Manca specifies, "already over ten percent more than a year ago" .

The various tourist locations for Easter are therefore focusing on mobility within the island and are already looking towards the long weekend at the end of April: in Villasimius the first openings of B&Bs, hotels, museums and restaurants. Ogliastra focuses on climbing and sports tourism, while the Coral Riviera is working for the third week of April and for the 2024 edition of the Holy Week in l'Alguer , a moment of great popular faith, but also an event with strong tourist attraction, with thousands of visitors coming mainly from nearby towns.
