Duran Duran in Rock And Roll Hall of Fame, Andy Taylor misses: "He has cancer"
The guitarist of the historic band has written an open letter to explain his state of health to fans
The painful announcement came during a ceremony in Cleveland to celebrate Duran Duran 's entry into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame: guitarist Andy Taylor has cancer .
The leader of the band, Simone Le Bon, read an open letter signed by Taylor in which he explains that the disease was diagnosed over 4 years ago, it is a stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer.
And there is no cure : “Despite the exceptional efforts of my team, I had to be honest as both physically and mentally I would have gone beyond my limits. However, nothing at all should detract from what this band (with or without me) has achieved in 44 years, "added the guitarist.
"We love Andy very much. I won't be here crying, it would be inappropriate, but that's how it feels," Le Bon commented.
