Too much Inter for Cagliari. The Nerazzurri won 2-0 thanks to goals from Dumfries and Lautaro Martinez, both in the first half.

Ranieri still lines up a Cagliari that will gamble man against man, with Pavoletti at the top offensive line, Oristanio and Jankto on the outside and Nandez on the trocar, followed by Calhanoglu like a shadow. However, Inter immediately took possession of the match, exploiting a clear technical and athletic superiority. In the 14th minute, the Nerazzurri were close to scoring with Lautaro, who took advantage of Makoumbou's approximate disengagement and hit the post with a diagonal shot with a sure shot.

Cagliari's reaction was entrusted to Pavoletti's header wide from Nandez's cross. In the 20th minute Sulemana saves from Lautaro, but the goal is only postponed by a minute: Thuram breaks through on the right and serves Dumfries. Winning diagonal from the Dutch and 1-0 for the guests. In the 24th minute Nandez escapes, but Calhanoglu saves for a corner. In the half hour Lautaro stamps the clock: control of Dimarco's counterattack and 2-0 for Inter. What's more, in the 34th minute Pavoletti stops with a muscle problem in his left thigh and is forced to give way to Luvumbo. The half ended with an attempt by Augello in the 47th minute which didn't worry Sommer.

In the second half, it starts again with Di Pardo in place of an evanescent Oristanio. Cagliari tries bravely, but Inter risk nothing. Ranieri also throws in Azzi for Jankto and, in the final, Deiola and Shomurodov for Zappa and Sulemana. To no avail and, indeed, it was Inter who came close to making it three with Calhanoglu, but the Turkish right-footed shot from the edge stopped on the post. In the 45th minute Cagliari also had their chance, but Azzi, one step away from goal, was hypnotized by Sommer. It ends 2-0 for Inter, the Domus sees the unbeaten run vanish with Ranieri on the bench.
