"This call represents an important step forward to commit resources and avoid losing them, giving immediate answers to companies in any case if these funds are not enough we will ask the Region for a commitment to integrate them up to the coverage of the amounts foreseen in the call". This is the assessment of Coldiretti Sardinia on the 5 million euro call opened by the Region to address the drought emergency that hit the Island between November 2023 and June 2024 , with reference to the Sardinian livestock companies can finally access reimbursements for the expenses incurred in the emergency management of livestock. As Coldiretti explains in a press release, "the resources deployed are intended for livestock companies located in the Municipalities that have declared a state of disaster and that have been included in the list attached to the resolution of the Council that provided for the intervention last September 11, 2024".

⁠The requirements - To access the contribution, companies must demonstrate that they have incurred expenses for the purchase of fodder, feed and food for livestock between January 1 and September 30, 2024. ⁠The reimbursement amounts are calculated on the basis of the purchase invoices and the company size recorded as of September 30, 2024 (National Database).

De Minimis – The aid, Coldiretti explains, «will be provided under the de minimis regime with a maximum amount of 25,000 euros that can be paid to each company in the last three years». For cattle and buffalo, 100 euros per adult head are foreseen, for equines 100 per adult head and for pigs 20 euros per adult head. «⁠The submission of applications must be sent through the dedicated portal of Laore Sardegna and which will be activated in the next few days. ⁠The deadline for the submission», the association further underlines, «is set for December 23, 2024, at 12:00. To simplify the process, the requested data will be self-certified, without the need to attach documentation. Coldiretti will provide the necessary support through its territorial offices».
