A festival that has been in full swing for several weeks and has many prominent guests, which does not give up other surprises: after a special Saturday, with the pop jazz of Simona Molinari (plus sextet) and Raphael Gualazzi, the twenty-eighth edition of the Dromos festival continues in the next few days in Masullas . Scheduled for Sunday   Rokia Traoré 's Quintet , and Rancore with his band the following day , in both concerts scheduled for 10pm and hosted at the Botanical Garden .

The second concert, tomorrow (Sunday, August 9th) in Masullas (OR), features a trio of concerts that Dromos brings to the village in the lower Oristano province, where the "festival in motion" stops along the way for its twenty-eighth edition. Following Simona Molinari, the star of the opening night, another female voice will bring her musical universe to the stage set up in the Monte Arci Botanical Garden: Rokia Traoré , one of the most original and influential figures on the international scene, will perform starting at 10 pm (admission €20 plus advance booking fee) accompanied by Sylvain Rabbath on keyboards, Samba Diabaté on guitar, Aristide Nebout on bass, and Angelo Agbasse on drums.

The Malian singer-songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist has forged a path that blends African roots with rock, folk, and global songwriting. Born in Mali in 1974 and raised in Africa, Europe, the United States, and the Middle East, Rokia Traoré has transformed the dialogue between different cultures into a defining feature of her music. Considered one of the leading voices of the "new musical Africa," she has released critically acclaimed albums such as "Bowmboï," "Tchamantché," "Beautiful Africa," and "Né So," an intense and personal work produced by John Parish that explores themes of exile, the loss of roots, and the meaning of the word "home." Along with her music, the Malian artist has often combined broader theatrical and cultural reflections, most notably collaborating with Toni Morrison and Peter Sellars on the production of "Desdemona," a contemporary reimagining of Shakespeare's Othello. At the same time, Rokia Traoré maintains a strong cultural and social commitment: in 2009 she founded the Fondation Passerelle in Bamako to support young Malian artists, and in 2016 she was appointed a goodwill ambassador for the UNHCR, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

On Monday (August 10), the trio of evenings of the Dromos festival at the Monte Arci Botanical Garden in Masullas will conclude with a live performance by Rancore , featuring his new album, " Tarek da colorare ," released last April. Joining the Roman rapper on stage will be Mattia Crescini "Meiden" on keyboards, Cristiano Campana "Jano" on bass, and Giorgio Gallo on drums. With this new project, Rancore marks another stage in his artistic journey, transforming the concert into a narrative space in which rap, poetry, imagination, and linguistic experimentation blend together in a continuous reflection on the present. Through the character of Tarek, who is called upon to reconstruct his own memory and identity, the Roman artist offers a journey that engages naturally with the theme of "Secrets," inviting the audience to look beyond the surface of things and question the deeper meaning of words and relationships.

Born in 1989, Rancore – aka Tarek Iurcich – is one of the most original voices on the contemporary Italian scene. From his early freestyle experiences to projects with DJ Myke , up to the albums that defined his stylistic signature, he has built a personal language in which words become narrative material and a tool for exploring reality. His career has also been recognized beyond the confines of rap, from collaborations with artists such as Marracash , Dargen D'Amico , Big Fish , and Daniele Silvestri , with whom he won the "Mia Martini" Critics' Award , the "Lucio Dalla" Press Room Award , the "Sergio Bardotti" Award for Best Lyrics at the 2019 Sanremo Music Festival, and subsequently the Targa Tenco for "Argentovivo," up until the new Bardotti Award won in 2020 with "Eden." Alongside his record production, Rancore pursues intense cultural activities through school meetings, workshops, and conferences dedicated to writing and his personal concept of "Hermetic Hip Hop," a journey that has culminated in his lyrics appearing in school textbooks. With "Tarek da colorare," released last April, he opens a new chapter in his research, confirming his ability to transform language into a tool for knowledge and imagination.
