“We phoned with President Putin before the war started. We broke up with the understanding that we would resent. A few weeks later, however, he launched the offensive. I tried to talk to him until the end ”.

This was revealed by Prime Minister Mario Draghi explaining that even in a last phone call - when the conflict had already begun - "I called him to talk about peace and asked him to meet with Zelensky and impose a ceasefire, but I he replied that the time is not ripe ”.

Regarding possible sanctions on gas, Draghi affirms: “Peace is worth sacrifices, we are talking about one or two degrees of temperature”.

The government will go on until the end of the legislature, assures the premier: “In a moment full of uncertainties, potential instability, internal and external fragility, this government of national unity continues to want to govern. We have done a lot and we have done it together. I'm not tired, we'll go all the way. We will hold up in Parliament both on the tax reform and on justice ”.
