Draghi held a press conference after the approval in the Council of Ministers of the reform of the CSM and of the judiciary with the rules on stopping revolving doors between politics and the judiciary.

A unanimous go-ahead came at the end of a "long" but "not tiring" confrontation between the parties, the prime minister specified. A provision on which, announced the Prime Minister, "trust will not be imposed, because there is a need for full involvement of the political forces".

The premier could not escape the questions about the government and its future at the end of this legislature.

"The government team is efficient and goes forward," he said, underlining the executive's priorities. "Our duty is to continue and face important challenges for the Italians which are the immediate one of expensive energy, the less immediate but worrying one which is the inflation that is attacking the purchasing power of workers and eroding, even if for now it is not seen, the competitiveness of companies, then there is the exit from the pandemic and the NRR which is doing very well ".

Draghi was also asked if in his future there is a role as a federator of the center: “I exclude it. I have seen that many politicians apply to me for many positions around the world showing great concern, but I would like to reassure them that if I decided to find a job I would find it on my own ... ".

Question that was repeated to him by a second journalist and the premier, even a little annoyed, reiterated: "I exclude it, closed, am I clear?".
