Two national awards for "Polvere" , the short film directed by director Paolo Carboni which traces the tragic judicial story of Aldo Scardella , the university student who in 1985 was unjustly arrested in Cagliari on charges of murder: he took his own life in prison, innocent, after 185 days of imprisonment.

The recognition arrived at the San Diego Italian film festival and at the Liberazioni festival in Turin, while in Cagliari it will be screened for the first time during the Skepto film festival, between 26 and 28 October.

Produced by Tore Cubeddu for Terra de Punt, the 29 minutes intertwine reality and fiction: «The short film», explains Paolo Carboni, « is built on facts that actually happened and are known. In addition to the judicial story, our desire was to tell the context and life of a boy in that period through fiction."

The actor Andrea Nicolò Staffa played Scardella, protagonist in a cast that also includes the names of Felice Montervino, Joe Perrino, Valentino Mannias, Isella Orchis, Carlo Porru, Daniela Vitellaro and Stefano Cancellu.

Story and screenplay were written by Stefano Cau, photography by Edoardo Matacena, editing by Andrea Marras, music by Emanuele Contis, costumes by Stefania Grilli, make-up by Stefania Bettini, set design by Maurizio Loi.
