One joy after another. After his triumph at the US Open, Jannik Sinner is now completely cleared of all doping charges .

Wada, the International Anti-Doping Agency, has not appealed the ruling of the Itia (International Tennis Integrity Agency) of last August 19 that acquitted the world number 1 tennis player for the double positive test for Clostebol found last March in Indian Wells. This was reported by Corriere della Sera, which cites the secretariat of the International Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) as its source.

The 21-day appeal deadline expired at midnight.

As is known, Sinner was acquitted because he was not held responsible or negligent for that infinitesimal amount of Clostebol found in his urine. It was the result of an ointment that his physiotherapist used to treat a wound on his finger and transferred to him during a massage performed without using gloves . The Alto Adige champion was therefore deducted only the 400 points and the prize money he won at Indian Wells.

Thus ends in a triumphant manner (on and off the court) a very difficult moment for the world number 1, who can prepare with maximum tranquility for a season finale as an absolute protagonist.
