On Friday 2 December at 20.30 , the first of the eight appointments of "Un'Isola di Musica 2022" is staged, the usual musical review of the Teatro Lirico of Cagliari in the centers of Sardinia. The location is unusual but extraordinary: the Opera Music Forum with its 400 seats in pavilion E of the International Fair of Sardinia in Cagliari (entrance to piazza Marco Polo).

The itinerant adventure of great music around the island will be inaugurated by one of the liveliest and most loved operas by audiences of all ages : "L' elisir d'amore", a playful melodrama in two acts, on a libretto by Felice Romani , taken from the comedy "Le philtre" by Eugène Scribe and music by Gaetano Donizetti.

The proposed staging is new and signed by the Teatro Lirico of Cagliari. At the helm of direction and costumes is Marco Nateri from Cagliari, a versatile, well-known and appreciated artist (among his many works, the costumes for "I Shardana", 2013, and "Turandot", 2014 stand out). The scenes are by Sabrina Cuccu , the lights by Andrea Ledda and, as assistant director , Luigia Frattaroli also collaborates.

The public will be enveloped by a simple, colorful and suitable for everyone version of the famous love story between Adina and Nemorino.

The Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro Lirico of Cagliari are conducted by Maestro Andrea Solinas . The choir master is Giovanni Andreoli.

These are the two casts of the work which uses young artists: Ilaria Vanacore / Elena Schirru (Adina), Nico Franchini / Mauro Secci (Nemorino), Nicola Ebau (Belcore), Alex Martini (Dulcamara), Graziella Ortu (Giannetta).

The work, lasting approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes in total, is performed without intermission.

L'elisir d'amore is repeated : Saturday 3 December at 5 pm and Monday 5 December at 10.30 (show for schools) again at the Opera Music Forum (Pavilion E) of the Sardinia International Fair in Cagliari; Wednesday 7 December at 8pm and Friday 9 December at 11am (performance for schools) at the Teatro Comunale di Mogoro ; Monday 12 December at 8.30 pm and Tuesday 13 December at 10.30 am (performance for schools) at the Teatro del Carmine in Tempio Pausania .
