Dolcenera is in Bitti tonight, wearing a dress by Sartoria Pinu. The Apulian singer stopped in Nuoro yesterday and today, and will stay until tomorrow. She made the same stops as 14 years ago, when she came to Nuoro with Roberto Vecchioni, guests of Gigi Sanna of the band Istentales.
History repeats itself: Dolcenera enthusiastically embraced the history of the Barbagia region. After Mamoiada, where she wore the Mamuthone dress, yesterday afternoon she switched to another must-have for any Nuoro native: the Pinu dress. For her, "a slightly Sardinian 'punk' look," said Giuseppe Pinu.
This morning, the singer stopped by the historic tailor's shop again before heading to Bitti in the company of Gigi Sanna. After choosing her dress, last night she enjoyed an aperitif at Caffè America and the inevitable dinner at Rifugio. "Like 14 years ago," says Gigi Sanna, "we took refuge at Rifugio with Silverio and Francesco Nanu along with Manu Dolcenera, where all the artists for our events pass through. Istentales and Rifugio: it's always a beautiful combination."

Regarding Pinu (known for his traditional suits, which he even wore on the Sanremo stage and was beloved by Piero Pelù), Sanna states: "You can't pass through Nuoro and not pop into the historic Pinu tailor shop, Giuseppe and Nicolò, for a custom-made velvet suit. It's now become a tradition at Istentales to "sardizzare s'istranzu," with what used to be called a Sardinian's second skin: precious velvet. Today it was our Manu Dolcenera's turn to wear it, along with his wonderful engineer and sound genius."
The artist stayed, as per tradition, with Gigi at his Istentales Farm, where he wanted to spend time in nature and surrounded by the animals he loves so much.
