«Do as your friend Murgia»: death wishes, Geppi Cucciari's campaign against haters

Geppi Cucciari intensifies her campaign against haters. In two days she has published, with her name, surname and photo, a brace of insults received via social media, accompanied by a few words of sarcasm.

These are not isolated cases : Cucciari has always exposed to public derision individuals who attack her in an uncomposed and often vulgar way. But there are those who seem to have decided to raise the stakes.

Among the most recent, the first hater on the net had written to her: «You only make idiots laugh, you dickhead». Response from the presenter and comedian from Macomer: «Ciao Valerio». The man has a profile that stands out for continuous posts against the Democratic Party and praise for Giorgia Meloni.

The second one instead relaunched: «Go find your friend Murgia, give us a dream, you cheap fake communist». The obvious reference is to the Sardinian writer Michela Murgia, who died in August 2023 after having told of her coexistence with cancer. Cucciari's reply: «The invitation to death had not yet arrived».

It is not excluded that the intensification of the attacks against her is a consequence of her introductory speech, full of irony, at the Quirinale, for the presentation of the David di Donatello. Addressing the Minister of Culture, Alessandro Giuli, a loyal follower of Meloni, the presenter had said: «The only one whose speeches can be listened to backwards, like a Black Sabbath record. And they get better».

It is known that Giuli uses refined language, using terms such as "global infosphere" . But the representative of the national executive did not take it well: interviewed by another Sardinian, the Rai journalist Incoronata Boccia, he replied from a distance: "Only comedians are left on the left". And the network's ultras adapted.
