It's a summer of sensational farewells. First general manager Federico Pasquini, now physical trainer Matteo Boccolini, who arrived in Sassari in 2011 when Stefano Sardara took over the club. The statement reads: "Dinamo Banco di Sardegna announces the termination of its working relationship with physical trainer Matteo Boccolini. The club wishes to thank him for his work during his years in the blue and whites and wishes him the best of luck for his future, both personally and professionally."
A few lines aren't enough to explain Boccolini's professional and personal importance. As a coach, he took care of players' physiques, starting with getting Travis Diener back on track and extending his career. Moreover, as demonstrated by his results with athletes from other sports, such as German tennis player Laura Siegemund, Boccolini has constantly developed his skills to provide each high-level athlete with a specific injury recovery program.
