It can be hard to see, but having a natural park in the heart of the metropolis is a rare blessing. The City of Salt and the Molentargius Regional Environmental Protection Agency (CEAS) are constantly reminding residents of this, engaging them in initiatives dedicated to the green space with the " Stories Written in Water, Earth, and Sky " series, featuring workshops and excursions exploring history, nature, and science . All events will begin at the Sali Scelti Building at Via La Palma 9A , with the first scheduled for this Sunday, the 18th .

Starting at 3:30 PM , a guided minibus excursion will begin, followed by a workshop to discover Artemia salina : a tiny crustacean, almost invisible to the naked eye, yet essential to the maintenance of the salt pan ecosystem . By allowing participants to observe the tiny creature through a stereomicroscope, they will learn about the different stages of development, the differences between sexes, and the quality of Artemia as a "model organism." The preceding excursion will also serve to illustrate its natural habitat, thus understanding the environmental context. With limited space and therefore by reservation , the event is open to all ages .

"Stories Written in Water, Earth, and Sky" will continue with further meetings designed to raise awareness of the Natural Park in a deeper, more informed, and participatory way , scheduled for each weekend between now and March 1st . This event represents just the beginning of a larger project , part of a dynamic calendar that will expand throughout the year with new offerings and themes, bringing the surrounding community closer to the Park .

The calendar will therefore continue on Saturday 24th , with the popular " Memories of the Salt Pan " route from 5:30 pm , and on January 31st with " The Stars in Molentargius - Between Astronomy and Legend " also from the same time . The following month it will continue with " Salt between History and Science ", on February 8th at 3:30 pm , " The Wild West of Molentargius ", at 11 am on February 14th , and finally " The Invisible World - The Edaphic Fauna ", on February 21st at 3:30 pm . The botanical excursion will close (for now) with " A Journey Among the Plants of the World ", in another morning appointment at 11 am on March 1st . Participation in three consecutive events will result in a 25% discount on the price of the third event .
