By now, the hope of a repechage had reached microscopic proportions, but today the confirmation arrived: the FIP federal council admitted all 16 eligible teams to Serie A, including the two Rome teams that replace Brescia and Cremona. At the same time, the federal council admitted all 20 A2 teams, including Dinamo Banco di Sardegna.

The Sassari team is in a single group along with Fortitudo Bologna, Avellino Basket, Brindisi, Sella Cento, Cividale, Juvi Cremona 1952, Forlì, Libertas Livorno 1947, Mestre, Urania Milano, Montecatini, Libertas Pesaro, Pistoia Basket, Rieti, Basket Rimini, Ruvo di Puglia, and Turin. In addition, there are the three teams promoted from Serie B: Pallacanestro Montecatini, JuveCaserta 2021, and Pallacanestro Vigevano.

The championship will begin on September 27th and will feature 38 regular season games. The schedule will be finalized in the coming days.
