With a breathless comeback in the last quarter, Dinamo Women beat Brixia 65-59 and took home third place from the "Sa Duchessa" International Tournament, played at the PalaCus in Cagliari.

A two-faced performance for Antonello Restivo's team, who for two full quarters suffered from the greater brilliance of the Brescians, capable of exploring solutions near the basket with the Greek wing/pivot Louka. With a reduced rotation (Togliani out due to an injury suffered in the semi-final against Miskolc, and Joens still involved in the Wnba), and heavy legs due to the workload, the Sassari players suffered in the central phase of the match, appearing in 7 points behind (36-29) at the long break and slipping further back in the 30th minute. But just when Brescia seemed to be in control of the match, Dinamo broke loose. The Polish Kaczmarczyk showed the way in the defensive half of the field, while in attack Carangelo was unleashed, who with triples led the run of 26-6 which allowed the Banco to turn the match around in the final 10 minutes. Important success for morale in view of the first official match of the season, set for September 22nd in Pordenone with the Super Cup semi-final against Schio.

The Venetian team, reigning Italian champions, has entered its name in the roll of honor of the Cagliari competition, beating the Hungarians of Miskolc 79-63 in the final for first place (12 by Keys and Sottana, 11 by Crippa, elected best player of the tournament.
