Not beautiful, but who cares, because the victory over Brindisi 84-81 is worth gold in terms of salvation. Dinamo prevailed only in the final against Happy Casa in a match that began with high shooting percentages and ended with the most attentive defenses.

At the start Gombauld and McKinnie hit from close range, but as usual the Sassari defense makes any shooter excited and with 7/11 from three Brindisi ends the first quarter ahead, 22-25. In the 8th minute, point guard Whittaker also comes on, passing the ball quickly, and center Diop appears rusty after almost two months out for a knee operation. He loosens up in the second quarter and scores 7 points although almost all of them from the free throw line.

However, the Banco struggles in attack and also in defense despite also using the zone. Brindisi has more energy and goes ahead in double figures: 32-44 in the 16th minute with a five-meter basket from Johnson.

Tyree lights up and scores 8 points in the last minutes of the quarter and with the collaboration of Gombauld he ties up almost everything: 50-51. A recovery also thanks to the defensive adjustments on the three-point arc.

Brindisi started better after the break (50-56) but by now Diop had regained the match rhythm. In the back-and-forth we also see two baskets in a row from Whittaker for -1 but Laszewski's bombs keep the guests ahead.

In the last quarter, it was from the line that Dinamo equalized (Treier for 69-69) and overtook (Charalampopoulos for 75-74).

Thrilling final: Johnson scores for the guest's +1 at 23 seconds, Sassari goes ahead with two free throws from Tyree at 14". The little guy Jacson (just 170cm) attempts the winning entry but is blocked by Charalampopoulos.

Top scorer Tyree with 17 points, Diop also in double figures with 13 and Gombauld and Charalampopoulos with 11 points each,
