A graduate of DePaul University, the same university where Dalla Comegys also played, Young began his professional career in the United States with the Texas Legends in the D-League. In 2015, he moved to Europe, where he played in the leagues of Greece, Switzerland, Lebanon, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Poland, Hungary, Turkey, and France . Among his most significant stints were his stint at BBC Monthey, where he won the Swiss championship and the League Cup as finals MVP in 2016/17, and his stint at Levski Sofia, where he won the Bulgarian Cup and the Bulgarian Super Cup in 2020.
