The tryout was convincing: guard Stefano Longo, who had been brought in for training, signed a contract with Dinamo. Born in 2003, 193 cm tall, Longo grew up in the youth academy of his hometown, Trieste.
From a young age, Longo alternated between youth leagues and senior tournaments, quickly gaining experience and standing out in the National Finals. He made his Serie C Silver debut at 15: in his first championship, he averaged 11.6 points, and two years later, he reached 15 points.
In the 2021/22 season, Longo earned his first Serie A experience: with Pallacanestro Trieste, he was called up 12 times and found space in three games, also managing to make his mark with a three-pointer against Derthona.
His performances also earned him a call from coach Alessandro Magro, who called him up for a training camp for the Under 20 national team in 2022.
In the 2022/23 season, Longo moved on loan to College Borgomanero, playing in the Serie B championship for the first time, where he recorded a high of 26 points. Longo joined the team from seasons at Solbat Golfo Piombino and FalconStar Basket Monfalcone (national Serie B).
