Dinamo, Sacchetti's Pesaro wins at PalaSerradimigni 91-96
Heavy defeat that halves the chances of the playoffs
Pesaro wins it playing Meo Sacchetti's basketball: fast and with lots of three-pointers. The guests conquered the PalaSerradimigni (91-96 final) in a match where Dinamo, excluding the start and the third quarter, allowed the pace to be imposed by their opponent and defended poorly from the arc. A defeat that significantly reduces the chances of going to the championship playoffs.
Pesaro without a center (Totè injured, the American Love is expected) fields a quintet with three wingers: Bluiett, McDuffie and Mazzola. Dynamo immediately hot with two triples from Jefferson (15-6 at 4') but Cinciarini uses his size to play with his back to the basket: 17-14 at 6'. And so Markovic is forced to insert Cappelletti in Jefferson's place. However, the guests took courage and Tambone's bomb on the mermaid took them overtaking: 26.28.
Pesaro gets excited and tries to escape with Tambone: freer outside basket: 26-33 in the 12th minute with a break of 10-0. Sassari puts Charalampopoulos on Cinciarini, has the high quintet with two wingers and a pivot but misses too many free throws and is unable to recover. After 5 minutes he only scored 2/6 from the foul line. Only McKinnie scores from open play but it is enough to cheer up Dinamo who move to -1 before suffering a new mini-break: 39-45 in the 18th minute with Bluiett.
The third quarter begins with Jefferson and Tyree putting the Dynamo back ahead. The attitude seems to be that of the beginning of the match. Tyree inbounds with a terrifying one-handed dunk: 55-52 in the 3rd minute. Sassari tries to escape with the small quintet (+5 with an excellent McKinnie) but with the triples Pesaro comes back and then counter-overtakes with a stop and shot by Foreman: 63-64 in the 28th minute. It is Cappelletti who leads the recovery with 4 points (one steal) and then Charalampopoulos' triple for +6.
In the last quarter, however, Pesaro starts scoring threes again and Bluiett scores the new overtaking: 84-87 in the 38th minute and 87-91 again with his entry 36 seconds from the end. The second offensive foul called against the Banco ends the match.
