Having already secured a spot in the second round, Dinamo viewed the game on the German court of Rasta Vechta as a training session ahead of the championship match in Naples. The game ended 77-73, a game in which the home team started with greater aggression and determination, already taking a 10-point lead in the first quarter.

In the rest of the game, Vechta's lead reached 15 points, while coach Mrsic prudently rested point guard Buie and guard Johnson, experimenting with high fives where Mezzanotte and Thomas also played at small forward.

The Sassari team deserved credit for not giving up and, pushed first by the excellent Ceron (14 points and 25 minutes on the court) and by the positive Vincini (11 points) and then by the awakening of Beliauskas, they brought themselves to -4 but by then there was no more time to complete the comeback.

The Croatian coach also gave space to the young Casu for 4' and to the center Seck who remained on the parquet for 10'.
