Dinamo did not return to the island, having flown directly to Romania after their match in Mestre (a loss to Venice), where they will play tomorrow at 6 p.m. on the pitch against Valcea. A victory would guarantee their qualification to the next round of the FIBA Europe Cup.
The first leg saw a resounding victory for Banco, led by Bulleri: 94-73, thanks to a final-quarter sprint and Buie's season-best performance: 38 points, 8-of-10 three-pointers, and a 42 rating. This was the second-best performance ever by a white-and-blue player in Europe, after Rashawn Thomas' 40 points and 54 rating against ZZ Leiden in 2019, when Pozzecco's Dinamo won the Europe Cup.
Coach Veljka Mrsic, making her European Cup debut as coach for the Biancoblu, warned: "Valcea is a very different team compared to the first leg, having acquired two very talented players in Clavell and Harris. We're very eager to continue our growth and secure a victory that would allow us to approach the next away match in Germany with a real chance of finishing first in the group."
