With half the team out due to physical problems, you couldn't ask for more. In Trento, Dinamo plays a courageous game, playing on equal terms for 25 minutes, but in the end they pay for their fatigue: 95-77. Cappelletti sets a personal best with 27 points. Noteworthy are the 7 points from young Trucchetti.

The bench, halved by injuries (Halilovic and Udom) and ailments (Thomas, Renfro and Bibbins), is forced to field a quintet with three Italians: Cappelletti, Veronesi and Vincini together with Weber and Fobbs . In the first actions the 2-3 zone defense works, but in attack the white-blues miss open triples and so after 4' they find themselves down 10-2 and coach Bulleri has to call a time out. In attack only Cappelletti scores on action (7 points). When his teammates get going, Sassari gets back into the game: despite playing with Bendzius as a "5": 16-15 in the 9'.

The small quintet and the alternation of zone and man send Trento into a tailspin, working almost exclusively for the three-point shot: +3 for Dinamo. In the long run Trento is right because they shoot less badly than Banco: 4/14 against 2/15 and regain the lead, 27-22 at 14' . Bendzius gives lessons in the low post to Niang and Dinamo regains the lead. Weber's third foul and Trucchetti enters and makes a statement with a three-pointer. With offensive rebounds and greater precision inside the area Trento, despite playing poorly, manages to take the lead at halftime: 42-39.

Sassari starts the third quarter better and takes the lead with Cappelletti: 42-43 but a few home referee whistles (including the fourth foul to Weber and Veronesi) give courage to the home team who with an 8-0 run go to 50-43 at 24'. Fatigue surfaces and Trento runs away: +13 with a three-pointer in transition by Zukauskas . Dinamo also ends up at -17, tries to reply at the beginning of the last quarter but the difference in shooting and rebounding remains too wide and Trento can control the match despite Gazi's offensive awakening.
