The worst defeat in the history of Dinamo comes against the opponent against which the team from Sassari was most exalted even in the finals and semifinals of the Italian trophies: Milan.

The final score of 63-92 doesn't give the idea of a match that ended unexpectedly before the interval, when from 24-27 on 14', Bucchi's biancoblù ended up within 24 points.

A performance that contradicts the signs of awakening shown in the last two games.

Milan starts by heavily supporting the game inside the area on the two big men: first Melli and then Hines attack Bendzius with his back to the basket: 2-8 in the 2nd minute and 11-17 in the 6th minute. Sassari relies on Jones (9 points in the first quarter) and Bendzius to stay in line, and from the entry of Dowe (seven weeks out due to physical problems) he receives physical strength, climbing up to -2.

Olimpia continues to defend strongly, closing well in the area, Baldasso scores from three and Banco ends up within 7. It goes up again with a tackle by Robinson (the only one who manages to score) who beats Melli: 24-27 in the 14th minute. It is Baron with two triples who launches the sprint that closes the game with Sassari unable to make a basket: 26-50 at halftime.

In the third fraction Sassari is still in shock: the first basket arrives after three minutes with a shot from eight meters by Bendzius, but in the meantime the gap has become mortifying: -41 in the 25th minute. The rest is agony.

On the sidelines, the too condescending attitude of the referee trio towards coach Messina and Milan in a match where, moreover, there was no history starting from the second quarter.
