Sustainability and innovation: these are the trends for new professions also in Sardinia.
The skills related to green and digital will become increasingly important to enter the job market and to accompany companies in their transformation: according to the forecasts of the Excelsior information system of Unioncamere and Anpal, reworked by the Research Department of Confartigianato Imprese Sardegna, in fact, on the island, 4,531 companies have made eco-investments in the period 2016-2019 and in the coming months the hires relating to green jobs will be 21,107, equal to 27% of the total.
"The issues of digital and green transition are the growth and competitiveness drivers for our companies and constitute the new compass for social and economic development - commented Fabio Mereu, vice president of Confartigianato Imprese Sardegna and regional delegate for Technological Innovation -, a development that needs not only resources and technologies, but also adequate skills and a new culture, which will be embodied above all by young people, by nature healthy carriers of innovation ”.
"It is a transformation driven both by companies that export, and by those that are adapting their profession, their production and their services - he continued -, this means, for digital, enterprise 4.0 and Internet interconnection and also the possibility of developing big data analysis. Furthermore, the medium-term forecasts show that the demand for green skills will cover both highly specialized and technical professions, as well as those requiring less qualification ".
"Covid has not stopped green investments, because more and more entrepreneurs are aware of the competitive advantages deriving from the ecological transition - explained Daniele Serra, secretary of Confartigianato Imprese Sardegna - still more than half of manufacturing companies perceive this step more as a constraint than a opportunity".
