Sardinia joins Campania , Emilia Romagna and Tuscany and approves, with the votes of the majority of the broad camp , the request for a referendum to repeal national law 86 on differentiated autonomy, desired by the League. Puglia is waiting to define its position.
In any case, the Regional Council of Sardinia this evening gave the green light to the two motions presented by the group leader of the Democratic Party Roberto Deriu : one contains the question that
intends to abolish the rule entirely, the other for partial modification. The two delegates have also been elected, figures foreseen by article 75 of the Constitution, who will present, together with those of the other four regions, the questions to the Constitutional Court . They are the president of the Assembly Piero Comandini and his deputy Giuseppe Frau.
Heartfelt appeal in the Chamber by the President of the Region Alessandra Todde herself: «The State budget is not a differentiated budget, it has the same resources for everyone and if we allow the regions with greater revenue, today, to take, as happened in Veneto , 90% of the resources, we allow the same regions to always go further than the others. Our law establishing the Region is of constitutional rank and we are allowing an ordinary law to touch a constitutional charter."
The governor reiterated that the referendum serves «to prevent there being a secession of the rich, to prevent resources from going to those who already have them. This is a battle of equality, of pride, because, I say this by holding my head up as high as I can, this is a battle for the Sardinians."
