Mission accomplished. Paragraph 6 of article 119 of the Constitution - "the Republic recognizes the peculiarities of the Islands and promotes the measures necessary to remove the disadvantages deriving from insularity" - is referred to in the bill on differentiated Autonomies.

The new text of the Calderoli law was recently approved by the Council of Ministers. The green light to the first version (the one without the reference to insularity) dates back to a couple of months ago. Since then, the Sardinian Assembly has mobilized to convince the Minister of Regional Affairs Roberto Calderoli of the opportunity to correct the text. The minister, for his part, immediately expressed his availability in this direction.

Today the last act in the Council of Ministers. «Calderoli kept his word – commented Lega deputy Dario Giagoni – today a further step forward was taken on a very important reform that could give so much to our Island».
