The precise data is not yet available, again because the official numbers are late: the Region's website says that 8,020 Sardinians from the Sassari college wrote their name on the ballot, next to the symbol of the list which was also expressed by the President of the Region Alessandra Todde . «And there's a lack of it, there's a shortage of it», says Manca, exhausted: «I slept for two hours», she adds. But calling her "satisfied" is perhaps an understatement. The brief period of sleep came at the end of an intense electoral campaign and at the end of five years spent in combative opposition to the Solinas Council from the benches of the Regional Council.

A position which, in the end, may have given her an advantage in acquiring consensus: "Unfortunately I had an easy time fighting divisive power logics." The electoral result was nevertheless surprising, a few thousand votes higher even than that of the local voting machine, Antonello Peru: «It is not necessarily necessary to work with a logic aimed at exchange», says Manca sharply.

His favorite attack ground during the Solinas legislature was healthcare. The M5s governs, it will take important pieces of the Council. And she made a splash. Did the reporter who asked the questions speak to the next Health Councilor? «He spoke with Desirè Manca, who will continue to work for the people». In that role, we'll see.
