Democratic Party meets, with troubled waters in the broader arena: "The government's actions must be relaunched; so far, only appointments have been made in healthcare."

The new secretary of the Democratic Party will be chosen directly by the party assembly on September 12.
Current secretary Piero Comandini made this statement at the assembly convened in Tramatza, whose agenda included the state of regional politics. In his introductory speech, the secretary spoke of these first 17 months of the legislature, which have been "between light and shadow."
Now, he said, "we need a new phase to change the tone, relaunch the government's action by focusing on key points." What are they? "We can't help but work on a new statutory law (we wouldn't be in the situation we're in with the forfeiture case), furthermore we need to change the organizational structure of the Region. The Democratic Party is proposing to modernize and do what it does best: laws that are everyone's heritage. " To give government action a new momentum, "we need to avoid personalization, we need to move from 'I' to 'we', we need to return to being a political alliance, stopping thinking about the electoral calculations of some party or some councilor."
What has been done is not enough. After all, "we haven't implemented a reform on healthcare, just appointments—those of commissioners. And our councilors did well not to vote for that resolution, which lacked qualifications and political substance." As for the Provinces, "I felt compelled to remind the president that after 11 postponements of elections, enough is enough: second-tier appointments are better than commissioners." Comandini doesn't hide the fact that he announced his resignation in December last year, but immediately afterward a very delicate phase began, that of the forfeiture case, which has affected all political life and the Democratic Party. But now, he concluded, "the time is ripe; we need a new secretary and, above all, a new leadership."
