For the eighth consecutive year, Deloitte Private has named Fratelli Ibba "Best Managed Companies" among 72 Made in Italy excellences. The Oristano-based company is among five to also receive the Platinum Winner award. Fratelli Ibba operates in modern food retail in Sardinia, Central Italy, and Northwest Italy, with over 650 stores and five cash and carry stores.

As stated in a press release, "Created to celebrate Italian entrepreneurial excellence that stands out for its strategic vision, innovation, corporate culture, governance, and local focus, the 'Best Managed Companies Award' is organized in collaboration with ELITE (Euronext Group), Piccola Industria Confindustria, and with the methodological and scientific support of the ALTIS Graduate School of Sustainable Management of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore."

Fratelli Ibba was confirmed as a "Platinum Winner" among 72 other "Made in Italy" excellences and accepted the award at the Italian Stock Exchange headquarters in Milan. This confirms the solidity of a business model capable of combining family roots and modern management, with a particular focus on environmental and social sustainability, the development of human capital, and the building of an ecosystem of trust throughout the entire supply chain.

As Maria Giovanna Ibba, member of the Board of Directors and Chief Administrative Officer of the Abbi Group, emphasizes, "Receiving this award is a source of pride and responsibility for us. It represents recognition of the daily work of our people and the deep connection that unites us to the local community. The path promoted by Deloitte pushes us to reflect on how to ensure a sustainable future for our company, creating shared value for the communities and stakeholders who support us in this project."

"In an increasingly volatile international landscape marked by trade tensions, the companies awarded the Best Managed Companies Award demonstrate the strength and resilience of Made in Italy," emphasized Ernesto Lanzillo, Deloitte Partner and Leader of Deloitte Private for the Central Mediterranean region (Italy, Greece, and Malta). "In evaluating their performance, we used time-tested parameters that characterize our Award: 'Strategy,' 'Skills and Innovation,' 'Commitment and Corporate Culture,' 'Governance and Performance Measurement,' 'Corporate Social Responsibility,' 'Supply Chain,' 'Internationalization,' and 'Cyber Security'—a topic that is becoming increasingly relevant for businesses."

"This year too, we've recognized a solid base of high-profile companies that have decided to continue this journey with us. Over 80% of the companies awarded under the current initiative have been recognized as Best Managed in previous editions, and five companies have been symbols of entrepreneurial excellence since 2018: among them, Sardinian company Fratelli Ibba, which today achieved platinum recognition," explained Andrea Restelli, Deloitte Partner and Italy Head of the Best Managed Companies program.
