The Region of Sardinia has prepared an amendment to the decree "Urgent measures regarding electricity, natural gas and renewable sources" with the aim of obtaining an equalization of energy costs between companies operating in the major islands and the peninsula. A unitary work launched together with Sicily, the text of which was unanimously approved by the technical commission of the Energy Commission of the State-Region Conference and will soon be subjected to political scrutiny.

This is accounted for by the regional councilor for Industry, Anita Pili, during the meeting (via videoconference) on the energy price increases and on the implications concerning the company "Portovesme srl", which was attended by the mayor of Portoscuso, Giorgio Alimonda, the representatives of the company, the trade unions and Confindustria.
"The amendment to bridge the energy gap, which proposes the encouragement of the participation of large industrial consumers in investments in new production capacity from renewable sources and the increase of self-production for energy sustainability and savings for energy-hungry people - added l 'exponent of the Giunta Solinas -, it became necessary above all after the rejection by the Senate of another provision. A problem exacerbated also by international events that risks seriously compromising the competitiveness of companies, especially energy-intensive ones, operating on the island , up to the risk of making their industrial activity no longer convenient with consequent serious social costs for the entire territory. It is absolutely necessary - he continued - to re-establish a fair price of energy for the benefit of all Sardinian companies. of the Region, immediately committed to supporting companies affected by expensive energy, which h a operated through all institutional channels, in particular those where we have a role of responsibility, such as the Commission of the State-Regions Conference. Furthermore, it is always necessary to activate a specific technical table, already requested for some time by the Ministries of Economic Development and Ecological Transition, to deal with an emergency that concerns in particular the 'Portovesme srl', but which, by identifying the solutions, can give an answer to the urgency and at the same time a perspective on the continuity of industrial production ".
"The difference in the price of energy - underlined the regional councilor for Labor, Alessandra Zedda, who took part in the meeting - heavily affects the costs of production, which, in a moment of particular crisis, risks having an impact devastating on employment in the island. The commitment of the entire regional government is guaranteed, so as to complete the path already started with concrete and achievable proposals ".
